Summer Hair Care Tips from Cactus Salon Stylists

Summer is almost over and if you've noticed a leafy sheen to your hair, you're not alone. Cactus Vanderbilt Stylist Janine Kirilescu said the summer – with the lagoon and salt water at the beach – is one of the most damaging seasons. She and Leslie Gordon, stylist and assistant manageress at Cactus Mayfair , have tips to help you reverse this damage and keep hair luxuriously moisturized all year big.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
Kirilescu said if you plan on going to the beach, you should use leave-in conditioner. Put it in before you go and your fraction will be protected from the salt-water damage.
She also recommends a clarifying shampoo once a week during the summer – Paul Mitchell No. 3. This shampoo will keep the grassy pool-water color out of your hair.
Gordon recommends a L'Oreal Power shot, which is a deep conditioning treatment elbow at the salon. The stylists at Mayfair also recommend a glaze and lock system, which reduces 85 to 95 percent of the frizz in annexe to moisturizing the hair.
