The woman was speaking about the incident yesterday at a horde conference organized by Taipei City Councilor Yen Sheng-kuan.
The Taiwan branch of BeautyCos Worldwide Co., Ltd. imported the hair dye. Yen said although the product had been labeled, “Made in China” in small English letters, there were habitual Chinese characters citing factory information from Belize, India and Australia.
Doctors who have treated Tseng harbour that the hair dye may have been a product of the black market.
According to Tseng, on July 25, she went to get her hair professionally styled at a salon on Zhongxiao East Approach. Her colorist used a hair dye, in shade B5.05 by L'Oreal Professionnel, on Tseng's scalp without first testing the work on her skin. Tseng, 39, paid NT$5,000 for the coloring
